CLIENT RELATIONS – SOURCING MANAGER (MEETINGS & EVENTS)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing existing client relationship
  • To ensure client expectations are met and the highest delivery of service is driven through the business
  • To ensure that clients are offered the best available price and product
  • To continually look at creative ideas and review products which are offered to clients
  • To build and retain relationships with clients
  • To ensure effective communication with clients at all times
  • To ensure that all correspondence, documentation, proposals, presentations are delivered accurately and timeously
  • To follow-up with clients on leads
  • Qualify request, develops negotiation strategy, and sources event utilizing destination knowledge and appropriate technology tools for RFP process
  • Ensure savings and spend expectations are met for final contracts
  • Complete project timeline
  • Establish a work flow schedule with client and suppliers to facilitate prompt and accurate handling of all programme details
  • Review invoices to client and ensure final invoicing
  • Liaise with venue and suppliers to validate costs
  • Responsible for accurate programme forecasting and updating meeting technology systems with accurate financial information
  • Manage overall programme budget, reviews and audit all programme related billing for accuracy

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Tertiary Qualification in Events Management/Marketing would be preferred

AND EXPERIENCE

  • 7 Years experience in the Travel & Events industry
  • 5 Years experience in sourcing and procurement of hospitality products

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Financial Acumen
  • Negotiation skills
  • Presentation skills
  • MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • SMMP Programme Management Knowledge (CVENT or Lanyon) would be preferred

SALARY

The salary for this position is competitive and dependent on relevant experience.
