OPERATIONS MANAGER – KEY ACCOUNTS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in strategic planning developing to maximize revenue & drive business improvement and efficiencies
  • Ensure Key Accounts operations are aligned to core business strategy; executing on key initiatives and providing specialist support
  • Ensure Key Accounts operations, projects and initiatives are sized and prioritized appropriately through planning
  • To ensure client expectations are met and the highest delivery of service is driven through the business
  • To ensure that clients are offered the best available price and product
  • To continually look at creative ideas and review products which are offered to clients
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Key Accounts team
  • Lead a high performing team of 5 and set future objectives with team
  • Managing operations strategy for Key Accounts quoting, following-up, booking, confirming, invoicing, payment and operations of accounts appointed to team members
  • Monitoring staff productivity and advising manager of any performance areas of concern
  • Monitor quality and quantity of productivity
  • Explanation of financial variances
  • Margin Management (high & low)
  • Analyze and interpret financial reports provided and react where required to ensure efficient and productive running of department

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Tertiary qualification would be an advantage

AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Meetings & Events environment
  • Experience in leading a team

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Understanding of customers’ needs and products
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers for availability and rates
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Strong logistical knowledge

SALARY

The salary for this position is competitive and dependent on relevant experience.
